After about seven and a half hours (instead of the previsioned 5) we finally arrived at the Yukawa Onsen and immediately continued on the forest road to the ice climbing area. Lacking a 4WD we had to leave the car about 30min on foot from the area, still not bad for Japan, where approach often stretches many many hours.
