Plex Home Theater 1.3.6 Debian amd64 and i386

New builds of Plex Home Theater for Debian, this time with both amd64 and i386 architecture. WARNING Due to the addition of new architectures I have switched repository layout, thus the old entries will not work anymore.

plex-debian-new

Add the following lines to your sources.list:

deb http://www.preining.info/debian/ sid pht
deb-src http://www.preining.info/debian/ sid pht

You can also grab the binary for amd64 directly here for amd64 and i386, you can get the source package with

dget http://www.preining.info/debian/pool/pht/p/plexhometheater_1.3.6.441-0.1.dsc

The release file and changes file are signed with my official Debian key 0x860CDC13.

Again the previous WARNING The location has changed, there is not a new component sid to be entered!

Enjoy!

I installed this on my Debian jessie following the above without issues. I can’t start the plex server though. Where are the scripts located ?

    • Hi Spykos,
this is Plex Home Theater, *not* the Plex Media Server. You need to have a Plex Media Server running somewhere on your home network, or be logged into PlexPass to connect to your servers.

The Plex Home Theater does not provide any server capabilities, it is a player.

      Hope that helps!
