A few impressions from Georgia

I am currently in Georgia, the country, and internet is not really a highly available option. So here are some impressions from our visit to Georgia. More reports will come soon.

Rainbow over the Svetitskhoveli Cathedral in Mtskheta

Traditional music

Traditional Georgian singing, sounds a bit strange but interesting

A small chapel in front of the backdrop of colored leafs in the Caucasus, Gudauri

The (uninteresting) church in Gudauri with clouds and colored leafs

The Gergeti Trinity Church near Mount Kazbeghi

Kergeti Trinity Church in front of the cloud hidden mountains

Khachapuri, cheese filled bread, a speciality in Georgia

A typical Georgian dinner is developing – food is never taken, the next course just put on top of the previous ones

The table after a typical Georgian dinner, from each type something has to remain, otherwise it is a shame for the hosts

Streets in Mtskheta

Once more the Svetitskhoveli Cathedral in Mtskheta

View onto Mtskheta from the archaeological excavations nearby

Beautiful pictures. I can feel the mood of quiet contemplation on the untouched landscape, and lively banquets with new friends. Thanks for sharing. Cheese-filled bread…yum!

  3. Hi Sarah, hi Casey, thanks for the comment. I updated the post with a link to the gallery of more photos: http://www.preining.info/photo/index.php?/category/georgia-2013 (of course enough stupid photos of myself, too).
